This past Tuesday was Election Day in America, and while there were a plethora of hot button issues being disputed across the United States (such as Maine's repeal of their Same-Sex marriage Law), Ohio was not without its own controversial topic, Issue 3, which for those of you don't know, is a Constitutional Amendment (to the Ohio Constitution) that will open the state up to and legalize casino gambling specifically in four key Ohio metropolises: Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus and Cincinnati.
Masses of red and white creating an endless roar of screams and cheers, a sea of beings forming waves as each individual jumps and throws up their arms in excitement. Despite what is displayed on the scoreboard, the roar refuses to cease. This image should be a part of every Denison student's experience, but sadly it is nonexistent.
Each year, Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash raises thousands of dollars for Service for Sight, an organization dedicated to assisting the visually impaired. Service for Sight is an organization that has acknowledged God's reluctance to answer prayers and, though viewed as a heretical challenge by some conservatives, manages to rally the whole Greek Community behind an advancing cause.
