DU swimming and diving downs Grove City

The Big Red swimming and diving teams won their second-to-last regular season meet on senior day in Granville and have one final tune-up on Jan. 30 before the NCAC Championships.

Twelve Denison senior swimmers took to the pool on Saturday (Jan. 23) for their final home meet of their collegiate careers, and they each went out in style. Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams defeated Grove City College in convincing fashion, with the Big Red men winning 158-124 and the women winning 167-119.

After trailing by as many as 14 points in the first half to conference foe Allegheny College, the Denison women's basketball team found a spark on the defensive end. The Big Red defense allowed the Gators to just 20 second half points.
