10. "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton

People in love are always checking in on each other, making sure that they're doing well by the other person, and that the other person is doing well. It's one way that you can see if they are in love, like you can by the look in their eyes.

9. "Georgia On My Mind" by Ray Charles

This state song of Georgia is ambiguous with its meaning. The lyrics speak of "Georgia" always being on the vocalist's mind, but the "Georgia" could be either a woman or the state. Either way, the lyrics are very romantic and the instrumental background of the song makes one soon swoon.

8. "My One And Only" by Ella Fitzgerald

Ella's voice is enchanting, "there isn't a reason why you should turn [it] down…[and] blacken all [her] skies of blue." The lyrics of this song weave the tale of a lover who is crazy over another, and whose bright world will disappear, shrouding her in darkness, if her love leaves her.

7. "The Best of My Love" by the Eagles

One lover feels the other slipping away and now can only hold his love in his dreams. He still tries to give her the best of his love, doing whatever he can. Nothing else really matters, all else is a waste in life.

6. "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen

When in love, people can get overwhelmed in multiple ways; this is mainly when there's too much of a good thing, it becomes stale (and the two fall out of love), or when something goes awry. Love is an unpredictable thing, you just have to "be cool" and let it go where it goes; be "ready Freddie."

5. "At My Most Beautiful" by R.E.M.

This is probably my personal favorite love song. It tells about the way people act goofy in a wonderful way when in love; one "read[s] bad poetry into [her] machine," watches while the other is pretending to sleep and tries to make her smile-knowing that she is listening with closed eyes.

4. "When I'm Sixty-Four" by The Beatles
