Neuroscience Education and Research at Denison (NERD) held its annual Brain Bee last Saturday, despite the snow storm and power outages throughout most of campus. Half of the questions can be won for cash prizes that go directly to the students, and half of the questions can be won for charity. This year, NERD decided to raise money for a walk for Multiple Sclerosis on April 17 in Newark. Above, associate professor of psychology Nestor Matthews (far right), the faculty sponsor of NERD, and associate professor of biology Kristina Mead (far left) pose with central Ohio high school students who participated in the Brain Bee.
